Economics, brought to life.

Economics Club · President

Established in 2014, Economics Club has long been one of the school's largest social science and academic clubs, with extensive academic and external resources. As club president, I recruited more than 50 members and worked to expand the club's reach and activities.

FIELD NOTES / ACTIVITIES

Club Activities

Every week, Economics Club organizes activities around a particular economic theme. Each month, we explore a broader topic through a combination of mini-lectures, games, news sharing, and seminars. Our discussions range from traditional economics, such as microeconomic models, to behavioral and international economics, as well as interdisciplinary topics involving economic history, political economy, and the relationship between economic theory and philosophy.

I especially enjoy helping students connect abstract concepts to everyday life and approach economic questions from multiple disciplinary perspectives.

FIELD NOTES / ECONOMICS-WEEK

Economics Week

I helped organize two editions of Economics Week and served as the chief organizer for the fourth Economics Week in 2026. With the theme “Trade & Choice”, the event explored money through topics such as monetary history and monetary theory. Building on previous years' experience, we designed interactive activities including a knowledge quiz wheel and a simulated Bitcoin mining game.

Our goal was to make economics accessible and engaging to students who might not otherwise encounter it. The interdisciplinary nature of the event—bringing together history, art, technology, and economics—also reminded me that learning becomes more meaningful when it engages different perspectives and ways of thinking. More importantly, I enjoy creating an environment where people can work together to build better solutions.

FIELD NOTES / BUSINESS

WFLA Business Competitions

Since 2015, Economics Club has organized an annual business competition under the school's name, creating an immersive simulation of real-world business and economic decision-making. I have helped organize two editions and, in 2026, served as one of the main organizers. We attracted nearly 200 participants and generated more than RMB 30,000 in revenue, with profits donated to social causes such as animal protection.
