I’m Jingyi (Jenny) Fang, a student at Shanghai World Foreign Language Academy. I’m curious about the ways people create, connect, and make sense of the world around them. Music has always been a big part of my life—I play the violin and enjoy everything from classical music and jazz to R&B, hip-hop, rock, and indie. At the same time, I’m drawn to literature, film, theater, photography, and the social sciences and humanities.

Many of my interests eventually lead me back to people: how they express themselves, how cultures shape the way we see the world, and how art can bring people together. I enjoy traveling for the chance to encounter unfamiliar places, histories, and people firsthand. Outside of these interests, you’ll often find me playing tennis, snowboarding, or simply looking for something new to explore.
